FDA Issues Letter to Industry Regarding Disclaimers Under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) of 1994
On December 11, 2025, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a letter to the dietary supplement industry regarding the agency’s regulations on the placement of disclaimers on dietary supplement labels under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as amended by the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) of 1994. The letter was issued in response to multiple requests for regulatory relief received by the agency.
